Fussy Eaters

  • Is your child a fussy eater?

Fussy eating is a common problem in children, particularly in toddlers and pre-school aged children. For most children these eating habits are transient and normal eating habits develop as the child becomes older. Eating habits learnt in childhood tend to continue to adulthood so it is important that your child develops a healthy relationship with food.

This means the management of your fussy eater is important long term. Forcing food will decrease the liking of that food, coaxing and pleading is likely to be ineffective, and threats and punishments usually make things worse.

    Nutrition Solutions for fussy eaters.

    What to expect

Once you have made an appointment you will be sent pre-consult forms to complete and return prior to your consultation. At the initial consultation, Jocelyn will undertake a Nutrition Analysis of your childs diet using the latest Nutrition software. At this consult an assessment of your child's eating/meal/behaviour habits will also be untertaken and this allows development of specific strategies to address child's problem eating and meal time behaviours.

    • Increase your confidence to manage your children's eating and meal time behaviours
    • Increase your knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
    • Increase your knowledge & confidence in providing appropriate food and meal choices for your child
